Pastor Derald Skinner
Our History
Pastor Derald Skinner received Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior on April 4th 1979 at the age of twenty-one while attending the University of Southern California. Shortly after this radical change in his life he met and married Suzanne, his wife of thirty two years. Sue and Derald have a thirty year old son named Joshua who graduated from BIOLA University, and a twenty-three-year-old daughter named Kamerra.
Pastor Derald received his ordination in 1984, and became an Associate Pastor in Southern California at Calvary Chapel West Covina. He moved to Hawaii in 1988 where he became an Associate Pastor at Calvary Chapel Honolulu. Along with pastoral duties he also managed a Christian radio station KLHT. Since leaving that position in 1994 he has become the Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel Pearl Harbor. His missionary outreaches have included travel to Europe, South America, China, the Philippines, Australia and Korea. He has also served in a variety of soul-winning crusades locally and throughout the United States.
Currently, Pastor Derald’s Bible teachings can be heard locally Monday through Friday on KLHT radio 1040AM at 11:30am & KGU Radio 760AM at 4:30pm, plus national and international radio broadcasts on 390 stations every Saturday on CSN (Calvary Satelite Network).

After serving as an Associate Pastor under Pastor Raul Ries and Pastor Bill Stonebraker, Pastor Derald Skinner felt the calling on his life to branch off in the direction of Pearl City. Unbeknownst to him, Calvary Chapel Pearl City soon grew and became Calvary Chapel Pearl Harbor. Currently, Pastor Derald is the Sr. Pastor of Calvary Chapel Pearl Harbor located in the Waipio Shopping Center. God has done tremendous things in our church growth and we know HE is just beginning!!!
